The House Location
Situated in a quiet cul de sac, five minutes by car from the airport and the city centre at 22 Impasse du Chant du Coq, Carcassonne 11000
This townhouse has a small front garden with a cherry tree and an apricot tree, a patio, a small lawn and a herb garden at the back.
The house has three double bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs. Two of the bedrooms have built in wardrobes, the third bedroom is a study at the moment and only has a sofa bed in it which means the house can sleep up to six people.
The bathroom is newly refurbished and is fully tiled with a shower, bathroom cabinet and a toilet.
Downstairs the hallway opens onto the lounge and dining room. The dining room has French windows which open onto the patio and the back garden.
There is a small but well appointed kitchen with views of the front garden. From the hallway there is a door to the garage and a small utility room with a downstairs toilet.
The house comes fully furnished.
Kitchen: Gas Cooker, Sink, Fridge, freezer, Toaster, Kettle, Microwave, Pots & Pans.
Lounge: TV, Sofa and two reclining armchairs, coffee table

The house has gas central heating and hot water. Shutters on all windows, wireless Internet and BBQ facilities.
Surroundings: This is a residential area, so very quiet at night.
There are three main shopping malls within five to ten minutes drive from the house: Leclerc, Salvaza and Le Pont Rouge. There are cinemas and restaurants at Le Pont Rouge.
The city centre-la Ville Basse-is five minutes away by car or 10/15 minutes walk and so is the main train station from which to explore the surrounding areas such as, Limoux, Narbonne, Toulouse or Montpellier.
To visit the small villages and many vineyards of the region it highly recommended to hire a car.
La Cite, the world heritage site, is twenty minutes away and can be reached by car, bus or by foot.
La Ville Basse and its centre, Place Carnot, has a fruit and vegetable market twice a week and there is also a covered market nearby for meat and fish. There are also many cafes and restaurants on the Place itself.
Every year there is a musical festival from mid-June to early August and the world famous fireworks “La Cite en Feu” every 14th of July which is also broadcast on national TV. This year, For Le Tour de France, Carcassonne will be the start town of stage 16 and the rest day two of the tour on July 21st and 22nd.
As well as the towns of Toulouse, Montpellier, Perpignan and even Marseille you might want to venture further out and even go to Spain. The town Figueres is ninety minutes away by car and there you can visit the Salvador Dali museum. Barcelona is only three hours drive from Carcassonne.
You might even want to do some duty free shopping in Andorra which is 183 kilometres away (about two hours) from Carcassonne.
